You want to be a part of the magic community. It is a lot of fun and you can meet a lot of very interesting people. Start by finding your local magic club and magic shop, both have knowledge about magic events and magicians in your neighbourhood.

1. Phone the local magician.
Tell him who you are. Tell him you’re curious, a beginner and want to watch him perform magic. Ask if you may come and watch his next performance.

You must understand, for the majority of professional magician, it is a lonely job. We are doing everything by ourselves and alone. We are alone on the road, always on our way to a new gig. No colleagues to talk to. Chances are he wants you to come with him on his next magic gig, if you sound like a nice guy.

2. Find you local cave of magic
